In 2000, I started my walk with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Although, I grew up in a Christian home, I chose my own path in my young adult years and was apart from Him. By a mistaken hit of the scan button the car radio, I found the Calvary Satellite Network radio (CSN) where I was introduced to the “true milk of the word” through expository bible teaching. This style of teaching and preaching led me back to Christ and then I joined a startup Calvary Chapel (in 2000). In 2011, I married my wife and a few years later we moved to Tucson and started attending Calvary Christian Fellowship. Our change in jobs, coupled with a reprioritization of our life focus allowed us to really mature and grow in our faith and understanding.
I oversee the Good Figs ministry which are focused on supporting the campus facilities with maintenance and improvement activities. During the height of the pandemic, this ministry introduced the pantry and household packs to support our brothers and sisters in need; to date, with your support, we have given out over 300 packs. Our ministry team continue to meet twice a month for these fellowship through service activities.
In my walk with Christ, I am reminded that our walk is defined by Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” That through seeking Him in His word, we truly come to know Him.
